jigglygeek: Velvet Room Welcome to the Velvet Room, a classy blue cocktail with curious floating gelatin bits that taste sweet and pack a kick. Watching them bob around in the blue sparkling wine can be a little hypnotic, you might even see a glimpse of your future. The cocktail - 1 shot vanilla vodka - 1 shot blue curacao - 1 tsp Blavod Jelly (recipe is below) - Champagne or Sparkling wine (white is best to preserve the beautiful blue colour) Pour the vanilla vodka and blue curacao into a champagne flute and add the Blavod Jelly. Top off the glass with champagne. Blavod Jelly - 1/2 cup Blavod Black Vodka (regular vodka will work too, but I like the colour contrast with the Black Vodka) - 1/2 cup Grape juice - 1 packet Knox gelatin Heat the grape juice in a small saucepan and dissolve the gelatin in it. Once all the gelatin clumps are gone, remove the grape juice from the heat, and add the vodka. Pour the mixture into a bowl and allow to set up in the fridge. Usually an hour or so. Once the gelatin is set, run chunks of the jello through a potato ricer, or mill in a food processer until fluffy. Set aside until you are ready to drink. Enjoy!
